Thompson is the premier provider of clinical and prevention services for children and families across the Carolinas. The Charlotte, N.C.-based nationally accredited nonprofit agency changes the lives of at-risk children and families through therapy, education, and care. Last year, Thompson served more than 13,000 children and families from its seven locations specializing in clinical and behavioral treatment, developmental education, and proactive care. With more than 300 employees, and a 128-year-old mission of care, Thompson serves children and families through healing, teaching, worship, and play.
As Thompson worked to scale new programs and across the region, they recognized a need to streamline their hiring, without losing their process' integrity. The team attributed their success to the employees, and needed a way to replicate their process more efficiently with the same (or better) effectiveness.
We have been scaling up several new programs, as well as beginning to expand into new regions across the state. We needed to streamline the interview process without losing any of the rigor that has helped us build an A+ team over the last few years. Those dynamics led us to explore video interviewing and ultimately led us to Spark Hire.
We tested out WePow for a 60 day free-trial in the Fall of 2020, but had never done any video interviewing before then.
My biggest priority was to use a video interviewing tool that made life easier for the hiring manager while actually enhancing the experience for the candidate.
I did a little research on my own. What I found was Spark Hire looked really sharp and the price was actually less than WePow.
Overall quick and smooth. We worked with an onboarding specialist who guided us through setting up our initial jobs and interviews and now work with a member of the customer success team that checks in with us regularly to give us product updates, suggestions for improvements to our process, and get our feedback on Spark Hire.
Although still new to us, Spark Hire has already helped expedite our hiring process, improving our ability to screen candidates, eliminating time consuming and wasteful "phone tag" with candidates.
