TTCU is the second largest credit union in Oklahoma with 15 branch locations. Goals for Video Interviewing

TTCU wanted to eliminate their phone screens and learn more about their candidates earlier in their process, connect easier with non-local candidates, and coordinate in-person interviews more efficiently.

Q:

What inspired you to look into video interviewing?

A:

With our hiring model, we were interested in keeping up with hiring trends. Video interviewing was one of those trends that we wanted to check out! It allows us to reach a greater group of candidates in a more efficient way. Since we have many hiring managers that aren’t at our corporate office it allows us to keep them involved in the pre-screen process!

Q:

What criteria did you have in mind for a video interviewing solution?

A:

The system needed to be easy to use and be economical for our business! It’s important that we hire the right candidate in a short amount of time. Video interviews allowed us the opportunity to reach more people in a quicker time frame.

Q:

What was getting started with Spark Hire like?

A:

Super easy! We had a hands-on virtual meeting. We were able to watch step-by-step the process needed to successfully use the system.

What are some of the results you’ve seen with Spark Hire?

A:

We’ve seen happy managers! This is super important as they are one of our most important customers in the Talent Department. Our goal is to service our hiring managers by providing them the tools which make hiring easy for them. Recently in our annual department survey, we received anonymous feedback from a hiring manager about how the implementation of Spark Hire’s video interviewing platform is a definite PLUS from the HR department this year! We were very pleased a hiring manager chose to provide this anonymous feedback without prompting, which supported the use of video interviewing across the organization.

How does video interviewing fit into your hiring process?

A:

Our selection process is pretty detailed. We include pre-screening (phone and video), assessment tools, and on site interviews. We also include additional background, credit and drug screenings. Managers are often included in-onsite interviews if they can attend, however video interviewing allows their questions to be answered even if they can’t attend the on-site interview. This has led to huge time savings and positive feedback from managers.

How do you get your team members to buy in to video interviewing?

A:

Video interviewing allows our team members to add interviews to their pipeline. The more candidates we can review, the quicker we can find the right job and fill it! This has been well-received by teammates!

What is the biggest impact that video interviewing has on your hiring process?

A:

Video interviewing has allowed the managers more freedom in the hiring process, while remaining part of the pre-screening process. Spark Hire allows them to see more candidates on their own time!

What was your aha moment -- the moment you knew you loved Spark Hire?

A:

I’d say it was the customer service. We were sold on how easy it was to work with Spark hire! Our account manager made it easy to love the product and helped us immediately. We have never had that dreaded moment of “having” to call Spark Hire with an issue. We are pumped because we always get answers in a delightful manner!

A:

Credit Unions are unique! We are here for our members first, so it’s super important that we are hiring the right talent to take care of our members. Video interviewing allows us an additional resource to find the RIGHT talent for our members!

A:

I can access it anytime I want, whether or not I’m in the office.
